Emiliana Seminara

Emiliana Seminara, MD

DIAN-TU Research Fellow

Emiliana Seminara earned her medical degree in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2014 and completed her neurology residency in 2020. She then pursued a two-year clinical fellowship in cognitive disorders at the Department of Cognitive Neurology, Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry of the Neurological Research Institute Fleni, one of the leading neurological centers in Latin America.

During her fellowship she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on early and differential diagnosis of dementia integrating clinical and neuropsychological assessment with neuroimaging and fluid biomarkers. She participated in multidisciplinary case discussions, contributed to clinical research projects, and presented her work at scientific conferences.

She was strongly involved in the clinical and cognitive phenotyping of patients with autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s disease and their families. This experience shaped her interest in combining clinical care and research in Alzheimer’s disease, aiming to translate scientific advances into better outcomes for patients.
