WashU Medicine is committed to providing a secure place to submit personal information to the DIAN Expanded Registry.
What will happen to the information I submit? How is it protected?
The limited information that is collected is submitted over a secure connection through the Internet using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL uses asymmetric cryptography for privacy and a keyed message authentication code for data reliability. This security is used to safeguard sensitive information, including financial and medical information.
What does that mean?
The information you submit through your web browser is securely transported to our database using encryption. In addition, the information you submit is stored on a secure server behind a firewall. The DIAN Expanded Registry meets all required HIPAA guidelines to protect your information.
Can I remove my information from the database?
Yes. At any point you can contact us to have your information removed.
